Houston — Houston was this year’s event location for the 51st Super Bowl event. It is one of the biggest sport events in the world and regularly reaches the highest television viewer ratings in the United States. However, it is not just about the sport: the various festivities on the entire Super Bowl weekend are also attracted by a lot of public interest.
One of the highlights of this year's Super Bowl weekend in Houston was the Leigh Steinberg Super Bowl Party on 4 February, for which fecher had taken over an event sponsorship. Every year, Sports Manager Leigh Steinberg brings together sports, business, media and entertainment, including Hall of Famers, movie stars, CEOs and politicians at this "granddaddy of Super Bowl parties". About 4,500 visitors had come to Hughes Manor, a venue in the pre-industrial country house style, at this year's 30th annual party in downtown Houston.
In addition to the entertainment of the guests, this special event should, above all, focus on charitable aims. For instance, the Steinberg DeNicola Humanitarian Awards were granted to promote social projects related to sport and to award members of the NFL community for special charitable initiatives and achievements. In 2017, the award winners also received the proceeds from the silent sport memorabilia auction of the event for their charitable activities.
“This years’ honorees are an extraordinary group of individuals who have used their platforms in the NFL to change people’s lives for the better,” said Steinberg. “Cosmo and I are extremely proud to be able to recognize the important work they do and the sacrifices they make to give back to the community and make a difference.”
The award was launched in 2015 by Steinberg and his agency partner Cosmo DeNicola, co-owner of the "Arena Football League Philadelphia Soul" and founder of Amtech Software.
