Story: KEB-DRIVE WPF Application Transformed into a Blazor Server Web Application
20 Years of Engineering Expertise Brought to the Browser in Three Months
KEB-DRIVE contains extensive engineering expertise used to configure custom-built motors and gearboxes. Developed over more than 20 years, the application plays a central role at KEB and incorporates numerous rules, dependencies, and possible combinations. To preserve this knowledge in full while improving access and availability, KEB decided to evolve the existing WPF desktop application into a web-based solution.
In collaboration with KEB, fecher ported KEB-DRIVE from VB.NET to C#, migrated it to a current .NET platform, and transformed it into a Blazor Server web application in approximately three months. The architecture was restructured while preserving all existing functionality. The result is a fully featured web version that simplifies access and provides the foundation for the application’s continued development.
